The images in this lithograph are photographs I both took and found in books and magazines that documented the scenes around NYC that were burned in my mind as I remembered the towers before the tragedy, the sadness of 9-11-01, and the aftermath which unfolded. Starting from the bottom left corner you can see a panorama that I took of ground zero 6 months after the attack. The text overlay comes from an article in the NY Times that told the story of the mental anguish from survivors two years later. As a witness that day, I easily understood what they were describing and felt that more people needed to understand the effects of such tragedy. May we all find healing and peace in our hearts and minds. May justice be served. May forgiveness take place. May we never forget. May we learn to be conduits of love, not hate.
